GUCCI MANE TO BE RELEASED WITHIN THE WEEK!

On September 12th, 2008, Atlanta rapper Gucci Mane (real name Radric Davis) was sent to Fulton County Jail on account of only completing 25 of the assigned six-hundred hours of community service, stemming from an assault charge.

This weekend, however, Gucci will return home for the first time after serving six months. Gucci's own label imprint, So Icey Records, and management company Mizay Entertainment are planning a welcome home party hosted at Atlanta's Metronome Stadium, where Gucci and affiliates will record a new mixtape to celebrate. The mixtape will be hosted by DJ Holiday.

When asked about the party, vice president of marketing for Mizay Entertainment/So Icey said: "What better to come home than to connect with friends and colleagues you haven't seen in a while, by going into the lab and recording all the hits you've come up with while you're away. Having great talent all in one room without the pen and the paper in the booth will make for a great homecoming and we'll make sure Hood Affair Films will be there to capture it all."

The actual date on which Gucci will be released is still unknown, but the expected timeframe is anywhere from Friday, March 13th to Sunday, March 15th.
