DIDDY TO PAY T-PAIN ROYALTIES FOR AUTOTUNE

It has been passed through the industry more than Superhead in the last few months, and now after reviving it, T-Pain is finally going to make some money off of it. Apparently, Diddy, the self proclaimed "King Of The Remix", is going to have a complete Auto-Tune album, and will be paying T- Pain royalties off of it.

During an interview Diddy explained what exactly he was doing saying,

“I gave T-Pain one point on my [upcoming] album for using the Auto-Tune.”

“Sign the papers,” Pain, who has been one of the most sought after collab artist in the game, said as he confirmed this deal. When asked, he seemed very excited about it, stating, “Diddy actually gave me royalties on this album just for using Auto-Tune. He signed the contract and everything. If I can do that with Diddy, somebody else better be signing something. It’s Diddy. He didn’t have to involve me at all. … I’m writing and producing on his album, and he gave me extra royalties on top of that for using something I just brought back.”

With this news it is obvious that the Auto-Tune craze in Hip Hop is far from over...

DRIES VAN NOTEN SPRING/SUMMER 09 COLLECTION

This is no Supreme/Kid Robot attire. Reaching his peak Dries Van Noten has designed a collection that overshadows anything he has created before. Using materials exquisite as Lindsay Lohan naked have managed to bring to about admiration that tend not be evoked by collection of the same style. At first sight the impression made might not give you a summer love crush but as you scrolls through the different outfits it all comes together thanks to the glossy shoes. Other details like buttons, traps and accessories further show the degree of passion that conceived this fucking collection.

TOM FORD BANNED ADS SS08

Italy banning his SS08 is probably the reason why he, for the FW08 ads, didn’t decide to escalate sexuality to an even higher level. This seasons ad shots contain much less exposed skin than the previous ones, in fact there is barely anything to get aroused over than a sexy brunette chewing on what looks like a grilled piece of chicken or some shit. But hold on, SS08 looked explicit when the first ads surfaced but got worse when the additional non-commercially published photos made their way out, so there might be some extra footage on the way. Here are additional SS08 shots but bare in mind that they are not safe for work, so unless you want to be accused of…uhm…..warming yourself up for a mid-day jerk work on a Tuesday don’t view them at your work(or in front of your bitch). On the positive side the clothes look as masculine as ever. Pushing an over sized ‘dress for success’-bowtie mixed with sophisticated suits in playful patterns, Tom Ford is taking a new approach to fashion different from the crass Italian approach or the old age British way. Aaron Rose’s touring Beautiful Losers show has landed in Madrid. The host institution is La Casa Encendida. Highlighting graffiti and skate based art, the show includes the likely cast of Kaws, Futura, Todd James, Espo and more. The road show stays in Madrid until January 4, 2009.

The Nike Air Force 2 “Gucci”. I HATE the the Nike Air Force 1 craze but the Air Force 2s are really underrated. These are really classic.

The Air Force 2 comes in all black, in a mix of different leathers on the upper. Everything from the Swoosh to the sole comes in all black. On the back heel the strap comes in the classic Gucci colors, giving the sneaker an overall premium look.

JUNYA WANTANABE COMME DES GARCONS VARSITY JACKET

Part of the Fall/Winter 2008 collection, Junya Watanabe Comme Des Garcons has their version of a classic varsity jacket. I saw it in LA and slept on it months ago and now I am kicking myself for not getting it. The 1500 USD pricetag isn't bad for something this crazy but maybe a bit too much for most people to drop on a varsity jacket...I just love how it has that blazer look to it. Really classic!

NIKE ACG CAMPAIN BY BOOGIE!

I am sure everyone have seen the new Nike ACG campaign on the streets and in the subway stations, but I had to point out that it was shot by photographer Boogie. COCO CHANEL 5 EURO COIN!

Karl Lagerfeld has done it again. This time he's making money(literally). He has designed a coin to be released on December 1st that is supposed to match the Chanel #5 fragrance the world has come to love. The coin comes in a gold version, limited to 99 pieces, with each piece going for 5900 Euros. The silver coin goes for 45 Euro and comes in a run of 11900. The coins will be released on December 1rst.

MIU MIU NEW LOCATION (FUCK THE RECESSION)

Miu Miu's third Manhattan outpost opened on 57th Street yesterday. Shiny, golden, three floors, and 4,860 square feet, it symbolizes everything the economy is not. Haha. According to the NY Times, over the last three years Miu Miu's sales have seen a 30% annual boost. They plan to open even more stores across the U.S. in cities including Las Vegas; Costa Mesa, California; and Bal Harbour(north of Miami Beach), Florida. The third floor of the 57th Street store will be devoted to special events revolving around art, culture, fashion, and other shit that only gays are into. The first exhibit currently on display called "Modern Portrait Gallery" consists of renditions of Miu Miu ad campaigns starring celebrities like Kirsten Dunst and Lindsay Lohan(my lesbian lover). Oh, and Katie Holmes...Escape the recession along with Miu Miu should be their new slogan. Walked by it today coming from LV and looked inside but I didn't venture in. I'm excited to go back and check out the inside. Photos soon.

ROGAN X TARGET!?!

Rogan is doing a second Target line based on their ecofriendly Loomstate line. The main Loomstate collection, including organic-cotton blouses for $192 and organic sweaters for $161, is sold at Saks and Barneys Co-Op. The Target diffusion line will go for $14.99 to $44.99. It will launch on April 19 — in time for Earth Day on April 22 — and be available through May 16. Though the first Rogan line launched in Barneys, WWD writes:

Whether Target starts its Loomstate line off at a high-end retailer remains to be seen. These days, Target is stressing its low prices and the “pay less” part of its “Expect More, Pay Less” tag line and may want to distance itself from the haute crowd.

Everyone from Proenza Schouler to Karl Lagerfeld has done diffusion lines for stores like Target or H&M, but most designers don't go back for a second round. Many say doing such lines more than once cheapens their brand. I think I would have to agree. Fuck doing shit for places like Target and Wal-Mart. First off, those places suck. Second off, why do those megastores need stuff designed by famous designers? I do not get it...H&M is cool but fuck target.

The 11/12 pack is what everyone has been waiting for and seems to be the pack of the year, according to most people who are into jordans. Looks like Jordan Brand was saving the best for last. This is probably the most talked about pack all year, and one of the only packs where people will actually wear both J’s. The OG Bred Air Jordan 11 and the OG Taxi Air Jordan 12 are the shoes coming in the 11/12 CDP. As if the malls aren’t already going to be flooded with people, it doesn’t make it any better that JB decided to release the 11/12 CDP the day after Christmas, December 26th. Without a doubt, the 11/12 CDP is at the top of all shoe nerds' Christmas list. More picks if they ever leak...these just leaked today.

JAMES BOND X TOM FORD

I just saw the new james bond movie 3 nights ago. It was decent but the subplot with the subpar miss bond is really a drag. Either way, every suit worn by Mr. Bond in the movie is a Tom Ford suit. Really amazing. Made the movie more bearable when it started to get a bit to boring... Ford says he tried to dress Bond simply:

"By dressing him in a very simple way, it accentuates that it looks simple on the surface but it isn't. It's a metaphor for the perfect suit — the construction that goes into a good suit is a lot of hours of handiwork, but you shouldn't see any of that it the end result. It should look easy and natural and a part of you … I do design things that are more extravagant, but that wouldn't be right for Daniel Craig or Bond. Bond wears more of a uniform."

Included amongst the collection are technically functional items including a toggled hoodie and zip sweater, proving once again that a traditional aesthetic can sit alongside the future of menswear.
