Another OG colorway from the Air Penny IIs will soon be available. The white, black, and varsity royal blue Penny II’s is the second Air Penny II retro drop. This is the best colorway next to the Atlantic Blue colorway. Nothing compares to the Black/Royal colorway, but then again it’s all about what you like. Honestly, I would have rather seen a retro of the Atlantic Blue colorway because the colorway is much more appealing but the white/varsity royal blue is still really nice. At least it’s an original colorway that will release sometime this month, so I can’t complain too much. So far, no dumb retro-plus colorways are set to release. He's coming by to check out the Chanel Mobile Art Exhibit currently under construction in Central Park but opening to the public on Monday. Monday, idiots!!! He's also supposed to present an award at the Fashion Group International's Night of Stars, taking place at Cipriani Wall Street exactly one week from now. But it gets more exciting: The Kaiser will also shoot his Fendi and Karl Lagerfeld eyewear campaigns in Manhattan. So don't leave home without your digital camera and extra batteries for the next week. When he's finished here, he'll head to his new crib built in the year 1840 in Vermont on Lake Champlain to shoot campaigns for Chanel and Karl Lagerfeld ready-to-wear. So if you're planning a trip to see the foliage in Vermont or you live in Vermont, go next weekend and look for Karl. The sight of him stomping through the orange leaves would be more than worth the awful drive up there. Hell, I'd suffer through that fucking $10 bus ride with all the nasty smells.
When he's done in Vermont, Karl's heading back to Paris to work on the Paris-Moscow pre-fall line for Chanel, which will be presented there on December 3. The show will open with a silent movie directed and produced by Karl, starring his favorite male model Brad Kroenig. WWD wrote, "Expect a fast-paced, laugh-packed and loose interpretation of Gabrielle Chanel’s adventures between 1913 and 1923." This is too much. I hope I get to see him this weekend!

The same place where they make streetwear for girls. Haha. The one you see here is by designer Andrew Randle's Darkhorse line. It's called "Project Darkhorse," and it manages to simultaneously praise and poke fun at fashion gods John Galliano, Alexander McQueen, and Karl Lagerfeld(my personal hero!) while not looking totally idiotic. It's dropping in March 2009 for $45 on DarkhorseWorld.com. The fist clinching threesome look like they're just short of beating each other down. Doesn't it make you wonder, who would win in a fight? "This bountiful bouquet of a dress looks almost like it walked right off the fall runways! It is a surefire way to make an impression at any party or it could even be worn whilst sipping tea on a chaise lounge. The blanket-like fabric skirt with the black jersey top are very comfortable, yet fashionable. The top is fairly stretchy. I added a jersey braid I knotted, to the top of the bodice for an interesting detail. The front is ruched in two places and creates a little peek-a-boo for your legs. "
That is how the haute couture designer Victoria Cates described this piece. You can see the extreme attention to detail on this piece as well as the use of multiple different fabrics. Usually I am only moved by pieces by bigger designers but every once in a while something comes along that is far ahead of its time and flying below the radar. If I were a girl I would be all over this due to the low price and high quality of fabrics and materials.
