The British tabloid News of the World published a photo and story Saturday showing Michael Phelps smoking from a marijuana pipe nearly three months after the swimmer wrapped up an eight-gold record haul in Beijing. He later apologized for smoking from the "weed pipe", as he called it, but did not admit to smoking weed. The press is spinning this and is criticizing him left and right, sighting the fact that the snowboarder who smoked weed years ago had to give back his gold metal and Phelps should have to do the same thing.
